EURUSD: European Central Bank interest rate decision is the key economic event in the July 18-22 week. European Central Bank will hold its conference on July 21. ECB has said it plans to start raising interest rates after the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, Swiss National Bank, the Reserve Bank of Australia and Bank of Canada started their rate hike cycles. In case the ECB actually raises interest rates in July - the EURUSD will get a bullish boost.

USDJPY: Bank of Japan interest rate decision on July 21 is an important event for forex market. The Bank of Japan meeting will be closely watched to see if policy makers of one of the major global central banks maintain the easy monetary policy while the yen is under continuous pressure. In case policy makers signal no plans to start tapering of asset purchasing programs in near term - the USDJPY will get a bullish boost.
